With a birthday child and two premieres: Harmless EHC Kloten goes down in Biel – despite more chances to score
EHC Biel wins Sunday’s game 4-0 against EHC Kloten thanks to four different goal scorers. The Klotner failed mainly because of one man: the strong Finnish goalkeeper Harri Säteri, who celebrated his first shutout of the season.
Whoever doesn’t score the goals gets them. This sports phrase fits perfectly with the Sunday game between EHC Biel and EHC Kloten. The airport city team tried again with new shots at the opponent’s goal in the first third. But they were unsuccessful nine times. The home team from Biel only had seven shots, but three of them went into the goal.
In this game, better doesn’t necessarily mean efficient. After just three minutes, Biel took the lead with Lias Andersson. Thanks to a long dream pass, the Swede was able to pull away alone and make it 1-0 between the Kloten goalkeeper’s pads. In addition to his fourth goal of the season, Andersson also celebrates his 26th birthday on Sunday.

The Swede had a second birthday present in the second third when he ran towards a penalty. He was only centimeters away from scoring his second goal of the afternoon.
His teammates provided further goals. Gaël Christe made it 2-0. It is the 20-year-old defender’s first goal of the season and only his second goal in the National League. Striker Johnny Kneubuehler scored the third goal of the afternoon. The Bielers were already leading 3-0 at the end of the first third.

Two goals canceled due to offside
Kloten had to react after this false start. But this only came in the third third. Thanks to Kloten’s Daniel Audette, the guests were able to cheer for the first time, but this cheer got stuck in their throats. Because the goal was canceled due to an offside. The Seeländer’s fourth goal was also disallowed due to an offside. The supposed goalscorer Ramon Tanner still got to celebrate that afternoon when he hit the empty goal while outnumbered in the 55th minute.
