Singer Pietro Lombardi (32) and his fiancée Laura Maria Rypa (28) recently appeared as a happy couple on Instagram. But now, according to “Bild”, there was a police operation in the pop star’s Cologne villa. The reason for this is said to have been an argument with his fiancée.
“We’re a beautiful couple, aren’t we?” Lombardi wrote on Instagram a few days ago and added: “Hey, you’re really beautiful, I’ll give you that.” But there was obviously a crisis behind the scenes. After the argument, Lombardi was temporarily banned by the police from approaching his fiancée or entering his villa, according to “Bild”. His lawyer Simon Bergmann confirmed this to the newspaper. The reason for the ban: A possible accusation of domestic violence.
According to “Bild”, the Cologne University Hospital, where Laura was treated, filed a complaint for bodily harm. An unusual step, as doctors are required to maintain strict confidentiality in such cases. Only in exceptional cases, when the patient’s life is in danger, are doctors allowed to pass on information to the police.
However, Pietro Lombardi’s lawyer firmly rejected the allegations. «Our client did not use violence against his fiancée on the night of October 7, 2024. Disagreements arose that resulted in mutual insults. As part of this emotional argument, there was also mutual touching, but our client did not use violence against his fiancée,” said the lawyer. He further emphasized that the police had been alerted by Laura herself – but due to her “high emotional agitation” after the argument.
The investigation against Lombardi is currently ongoing, but his lawyer remains confident that the allegations can be refuted. Whether and how the incident will affect Lombardi’s career and his role as a juror on “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” remains to be seen. The presumption of innocence applies.
