hospital staff mobilized to defend their RTTs in front of Verdun hospital

This Tuesday, January 21, a gathering is organized in front of the Verdun hospital (Meuse) by the CGT of the Verdun Saint-Mihiel hospital center. The demonstrators, mobilized from 6:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., oppose the abolition of RTT.

“Our working conditions are at stake” declares Christiane Sophocle, member of the CGT, who specifies that entry will be filtered but not blocked.

Negotiation meeting scheduled for this Friday, January 24

The union is calling for a strike to “defend our RTTs before it is too late”. Since an internal survey carried out by the union revealed that 97% of hospital agents, or more than 550 out of 1,700, wish to keep their RTT rather than see them converted into financial compensation.

The fight then intensifies before the negotiation. The strikers hope to weigh in before the negotiation meeting scheduled for Friday, January 24.
