Even though he dominated, the Laval Rocket lost 2 to 1 in overtime against the Monsters in Cleveland on Saturday evening.
It was Owen Sillinger who scored the winning goal for the local favorites after 1 min 37 s of play in overtime. The latter beat striker Laurent Dauphin with speed before beating goalkeeper Connor Hughes with a precise shot.

The only scorer for the Laval team was Owen Beck, who found the fault on the power play at the end of the second period. Joshua Roy and Adam Engström had an assist in the sequence.
-As for the Rocket goaltender, he finished his evening of work with 22 saves. Daniil Tarasov, his opposite number, had a superb match, stopping 33 pucks.
Joseph LaBate opened the scoring in the opening moments of the first period.
Despite the defeat, the Rocket is still well placed in the North section with a record of 21-10-2-1 and 45 points. Pascal Vincent’s men are one point behind their rivals of the day who are second, while having two games in hand.
Laval will be back in action against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Wednesday.
