The first title defense of IBF lightweight champion Caroline Dubois did not go as planned on Saturday in Sheffield (England).
Due to an accidental head-to-head collision with rival Jessica Camara, Dubois had to settle for a technical draw.
The fight ended just two seconds into the third round, after a doctor ordered an end to hostilities. A cut above Camara’s left eye caused profuse bleeding.
Dubois, who now has a record of 10-0-1 (5 KOs) was dominant from the first bell, while Camara (14-4-1, 3 KOs) did not had no response to the numerous attacks from the title holder.
The fight is considered a draw, because the two pugilists had not completed four engagements.
