Passed by Real Madrid, this Belgian goalkeeper signs in Finland

Everything can happen very quickly in football. Which Belgian goalkeeper Alex Craninx would certainly confirm to you.

After playing with the stars of Real Madrid, he now finds himself in the Finnish Veikkausliga, which begins in April.

He wants to relaunch his career

Free on the market, Craninx, 29, has in fact signed a six-month contract at IF Gnistan, a team which remained in Finnish D1 by finishing second in the Relegation play-offs, where he hopes to relaunch his career .

Ex-Real Madrid and… Seraing

For information, the Belgian goalkeeper played from 2011 to 2019 at Real Madrid, where he was never integrated into the first team.

However, he trained numerous times with the latter and therefore rubbed shoulders with players like Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modrić.

Craninx subsequently played for Sparta Rotterdam, FC Cartagena, Molde, Lillestrom, Seraing and FC Fuanlabrada. It should also be noted that he has not been spared from injuries in recent years.

Compared to Thibaut Courtois from a very young age, Craninx ultimately never managed to reach his highest potential.
