Macabre discovery this Monday morning in Poissy (Yvelines). The body of a man was found hanging in the canteens of the Charles de Gaulle high school, an establishment with a thousand students located on the outskirts of the town, a stone’s throw from the Technoparc.
Shortly after 7 a.m., when starting their shift, the high school canteen staff saw the body, hanged, in a room in the establishment’s kitchen. Firefighters and emergency services were dispatched to the scene but were unable to do anything to save him.
According to the very first findings, it would be a man aged around thirty. This employee was employed in the canteen. It is not yet known whether a letter has been found. The suicide trail is favored.
In a ranking established by Le Parisien in 2023, the Charles de Gaulle high school was ranked among the best in Yvelines, with a 98% baccalaureate success rate. Last year, it was hit by a series of bomb threats, each time requiring the evacuation of 1,130 students. A 17-year-old boy was arrested and taken into police custody at the beginning of the year for these acts.
When contacted, the interdepartmental management of the national police did not wish to communicate on the subject.
