Heineman and Condotta don’t deserve to pay

Last night’s defeat wasn’t just any ordinary defeat.

The Montreal Canadian was dominated, picked up and crushed at home at the Bell Center on a Saturday night by a score of 6 to 2 against the Vegas Golden Knights.

It was a shameful match overall, which clearly deserved the CH players to be booed by their supporters.

The worst thing about this match is that the players who showed up the least, and who were therefore the softest and worst, are two players seen as important pillars of the future of the Habs.

Indeed, Juraj Slafkovsky and Kirby Dach were pitiful last night, as they played very soft hockey, without flavor or emotion, in addition to each costing their team a goal with unacceptable turnovers.

They had no shots each, and Slakfovsky finished his night of work with a differential of -4.

In short, the two young players are really having very difficult matches this season, while more often than not, they are invisible, even harmful in each of their appearances.

It is not for nothing that Martin St-Louis decided to punish them and demote them from the first line to the bottom-6 of the team.

It’s really unfortunate and worrying to see two players supposedly so important to the team’s success performing like this, even if they are aware that they are playing poorly.

This is all the more worrying and problematic considering that they will surely have priority over other players when Patrik Laine and Raphaël Harvey-Pinard are indeed ready to reinstate the CH team.

Indeed, when Laine and RHP return to the game, two players currently in the Habs lineup will have to suffer.

And unfortunately, these two players may not be the ones worth packing.

Chances are that Lucas Condotta and Emil Heineman will be the two players who will have to pay by losing their spot in the lineup, despite the fact that they play good hockey, and they give their heart and soul in each of their appearances .

They are two energy players who know how to help their team despite their limited playing time.

Heineman proved it again last night by scoring his 4th goal of the season, which now gives him six points in 19 games.

The Swedish winger is having a good rookie season in the NHL, and he is managing to endear himself to his coach and fans.

In short, it’s really a shame, but by force of circumstances, Martin St-Louis is stuck with the poor performances of Juraj Slafkovsky and Kirby Dach, whereas if we went on merit, Condotta and Heineman would go ahead.

It’s clear that MSL could very well decide to send Slaf and Dach a game or two in the stands, especially since it’s the next step after being demoted to the fourth line.

But in the end, both will always take priority due to their status as high draft picks.

Even if they end up going into the stands, they will quickly return to the lineup in place of Emil Heineman.

In short, CH is stuck with all its attackers, and it will have no choice but to give Laine and RHP the chance to find their rhythm.

Heineman will have to be patient if he ever gets removed from the lineup.

And I haven’t even talked about Michael Pezzetta, who isn’t even playing right now, while Laine and RHP are still injured.

It really feels like the end for him in Montreal, and it’s a shame.
