A 20 year friendship

The summer of 2022 marks the end of the managerial adventure with the women of PSG for the adopted Girondin. “I took the time to settle down and take a step back, with the desire to move towards a project that was meaningful and in which I would have fun. » Then aged 50, the high-level athlete had “toured the sports professions”, which no longer met his personal aspirations.

The journey of his professional reconversion takes place through the prism of a 20-year-old friendship. At the time, David Dalidec was a sports coach. The two men rub shoulders and appreciate each other. When David decided to give up his gym in to start a new career in housing, Ulrich Ramé entrusted him with the construction of his house in the Bordeaux area. “He was my first client as an architect,” remembers the atmosphere creator with emotion. Despite the years and the distance, the thread of friendship never breaks.

The architect from Sainte-Croix-du-Mont directs Ulrich Ramé towards remote training, before opening the doors of the agency to him for an immersion. The best Division 1 goalkeeper of 1999 blends with the humility that characterizes him into this multidisciplinary team, aware that only time and experience will establish its legitimacy.

The key dates of a sporting career

In 1978, at the age of 6, Ulrich Ramé started playing football at the Sporting Club of Challans (Vendée), then, at 15, joined the training center. He played his first match in Ligue 1 with SCO in July 1993.
In 1997, Bordeaux recruited him as a substitute. Quickly established, he remained with the Girondins until 2011 as a player and captain, before making his return as performance director in 2014 then as coach in 2016.
On June 9, 1999, first selection for the French team during the Euro 2000 qualifiers. At the end of the 1998-1999 season, he was crowned French champion with the Girondins de Bordeaux and best goalkeeper in the championship.
From 2011 to 2013, Ulrich Ramé ended his playing career at Sedan (Ligue 2). He leaves professional football in the summer of 2022 after having been manager of the women’s section of PSG for a year.
