The Prouilha’thlon 2024 in the starting blocks in Gourdon

The Prouilhac festival committee is organizing a new edition of the Prouilha’thlon on Saturday June 22 and Sunday June 23. This event, organized in collaboration with the Canimondanais club, will combine sport, leisure and conviviality.

This 6th edition of the Prouilha’thlon will begin on Saturday with a hike and an 11 km caniwalk with departure at 8:30 p.m. For the hike, registrations will be made on site at the Prouilhac village hall, Gourdon district, from from 7:30 p.m. For the canirando, please call 06 32 00 94 10.

For a free registration price, each participant will receive a souvenir bottle of wine, a entry form for a raffle (local products) and a snack at the end of the walk. A refreshment point will await participants halfway. It is recommended to have a lighting system for the end of the route (headlamp or flashlight).

Succession of sporting events

Sunday will be devoted to a succession of sporting events. At 8 a.m., there will be the start of a 7 km canicross, registered in the FFSLC championship.

At 9 a.m., the main event will begin: the Prouilha’thlon. This event combines mountain biking and trail running over 11 km and slingshot shooting which can be done solo or in pairs.
At 9:30 a.m., the start of the Prouilha’trail will take place, which combines 11 km of trail running and slingshot shooting. As in biathlon, slingshot shooting will allow competitors to recover bonuses for each impact on the target.

Participation in these Sunday events is subject to the presentation of a medical certificate of no contraindication to competitive sports practice. Against a free financial contribution, each competitor will be offered a prize from partners and the events will be closed with a bib raffle and a restorative snack.
