After Mazzù, another unhappy coach: “I don’t know what the rules are anymore…” – Tout le football

Beerschot held La Gantoise to a draw this Sunday at Kiel, but would have liked to win. Dirk Kuyt, quite proud despite everything, wonders.

The Beerschot raises its head. The Rats took a 6th point this Sunday against La Gantoise and have therefore only lost one of their last 4 matches, a big improvement compared to the catastrophic start to the promoted season.

More Dirk Kuytif he was quite satisfied, would also have liked to see his team receive a penalty at the end of the match. In the 78th minute, a handball from Watanabe was not flagged by VAR. “I no longer understand what the rules are,” regrets the Beerschot coach in The Latest News.

“If you look at the penalties we conceded for handballs, like Sanusi or Tolis, why don’t we get a penalty today? Or in our match at Union?” asks Kuyt. “In my opinion, there is also a penalty. The rules are not clear.”

This is not the only phase for which the opinion of the arbitration department will be impatiently awaited this Monday. “VAR is supposed to be there to simplify things,” emphasizes the Dutchman. “And when I see these images again, I have the feeling that it’s a clear hand.”

Beerschot has only 6 points this season, already 8 behind the three penultimate, namely Charleroi, Kortrijk and Saint-Trond.
