Canadiens goalie prospect Jacob Fowler continues to impress during the first month of activity for the Boston College Eagles in the NCAA.
Fowler was named first star of the game Saturday as the Eagles beat St. Cloud State 2-1.
It was the second straight night that Fowler allowed just one goal to the Huskies. For the entire season, CH’s third-round pick only lost eight times in six starts, and he won five decisions.
In season freshman with Boston College, in 2023-2024, Fowler was one of three finalists for the Mike Richer Trophy, awarded to the outstanding goaltender in the American collegiate ranks.
Furthermore, another high-profile Habs prospect in the NCAA, University Wolverines center Michael Hage, missed his first game of the campaign on Saturday.
Without offering further details, head coach Brandon Naurato indicated that Hage, the 21st overall pick last June, sat out due to a “medical” issue.
In seven games in his first year with the Wolverines, Hage is the club’s leading scorer, with four goals and four assists.
