Anderlecht wants to appoint its new coach as quickly as possible: the agreement is getting closer – All football

Anderlecht is still looking for Brian Riemer’s successor. Despite the team’s good performances under David Hubert, the chances of Ryan Mason arriving continue to increase.

Anderlecht seems to grow from match to match under the orders of David Hubert. If the draws against Charleroi and Dender showed the extent of the work left by Riemer, the two victories in the Europa League and the success in the Clasico brought enthusiasm back to Lotto Park.

The former midfielder quickly got his message across, taking his players with him with his calm and simplicity. But that seems not to be enough: Sporting is looking for another coach to continue the season.

Currently, Ryan Mason is the number one candidate to replace Riemer. At 33, this Englishman could thus obtain his first mission as head coach. Anderlecht would like to complete the deal as quickly as possible.

The file is moving forward

Mason is currently Ange Postecoglou’s deputy at Tottenhamafter having already assisted Antonio Conte. But according to Het Laatste Nieuws, Spurs would not oppose his departure. Anderlecht will therefore have to pay a certain amount of severance pay; Jesper Fredberg immediately announced that he would not hesitate to negotiate with a coach already in office.

Discussions with Mason and Tottenham appear to be moving in the right direction. The former midfielder with 69 Premier League games would be eager to land at Anderlecht to live his first experience as a T1.
