injured, Harry Kane will not start against Greece in the Nations League

Harry Kane, who was injured on the last day of the Bundesliga with Bayern, will not start the match against Greece in the Nations League. But the Briton could enter during the match.

England interim manager Lee Carsley revealed on Thursday that his striker Harry Kane would not be in the starting squad for the Nations League match against Greece.

“Harry is nursing an injury, a little bump. We won’t take any risks with this injury.”Carsley told reporters Wednesday. “We are not excluding him from the match yet, but he will not start the game” said the coach.

Kane was injured in a clash with Bayern Munich during the match against Eintracht Frankfurt (3-3) last weekend in the Bundesliga.

The 31-year-old striker, top scorer in the history of «Three Lions» (68 goals) had however resumed training with Bayern before a relapse. He has not been able to train with the rest of the England squad since Monday.

“I hope he will be able to participate in Sunday’s match against Finland, but again, time will tell. I don’t think we should rush.” added the coach. With six points, England are joint leaders of their Nations League group with Greece.
