CAN 2025, interclub competitions, General Assembly… A busy end of the year for CAF

The Confederation of African (CAF) has unveiled its calendar for the months of October, November and December, detailing a busy schedule.

The latter begins with the draw for the group stages of the Champions League and the Confederation Cup which will be held on Monday October 7 at 11 a.m. in Cairo (1 p.m. in Egypt). AS FAR and Raja are engaged in C1 while RSB competes in C3.

Here is the program for the first three days:

1st day: November 26-27.

2nd day: December 6-8.

3rd day: December 13-15.

This will be followed by the draw for the qualifiers for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in which the U23 National Team must take part, as confirmed by the national coach, on Thursday October 3 at a press conference. The said drawing will be held on Wednesday October 9 at 12 p.m. (2 p.m. in Egypt) at the headquarters of the body in the city of October 6.

The first round of the qualifiers is also scheduled from October 25 to 27 (first round), then from November 1 to 3 (second round).

The final days of the Morocco-2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers will also be held these months.

The 3rd day is scheduled between October 10 and 12, while the 4th is expected between the 13th and 15th of the same month. The 5th day will be played between November 13 and 16, and the final day will be held between the 17 and 19.

Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) will meanwhile host the CAF Ordinary General Assembly from October 19 to 22.

A major CAF competition is also on the program at the end of the year, namely the African Beach Cup of Nations which is expected in Hurghada in Egypt from October 19 to 26.

This will be followed by the zonal qualifiers for the U20 and U17 Africa Cup of Nations. As for the UNAF, those of the first competition will be held from November 14 to 26 in Egypt, as for the second, they are scheduled from November 11 to 23 in Morocco.
