Applications open for the IOC Young Leaders Program 2025-2028

A community of sports innovators

“The IOC Young Leaders Program has been a big help,” explained current IOC Young Leader Sofía Arévalo, originally from Mexico. “Financially, it has helped me in many ways, including getting my sporting event certification. More importantly, I think the connections we have made with other young leaders around the world – who trying to create a better world through sport – also allowed me to broaden my horizons.” He concluded: “It’s an honor to have been offered this opportunity – I know it will help a lot of people.”

The current IOC Young Leader, Isaiah Kioiloglou from Greece, also commented on the support provided by the program: “The IOC Young Leaders Program was ideal for me. The training provided is extremely useful. We are taught, slowly but surely, to create a sustainable social enterprise We are accompanied by mentors, speakers and competent people, not forgetting the program managers, who are there to help us, the experience would not be the same. It’s also very important to see what people in other countries are doing. We share our experiences as business leaders from different cultures. It’s great.

The IOC Young Leaders Program contributes to Olympism 365 days a year

Launched in 2016, the IOC Young Leaders Program gives young people the opportunity to harness the power of sport to make a difference in their communities. The program contributes to Olympism365, the IOC’s approach to using sport as an important partner of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and more specifically to the Olympism365 innovation portfolio, which aims to identify, support and multiply the number of innovative sport-based initiatives that have a concrete impact on targeted communities.
