Whether you are into science or dance, circus or a stroll by the lake, the weekend of October 5 and 6 has a multitude of activities in store for you in . Follow the leader.

Researchers’ Night is launching, this Friday, at the Cité de l’Espace, the Science Festival, which will take place from October 4 to 14 in Toulouse. The opportunity to find out more about the themes of CNRS laboratories and scientists in the region.

Visits, micro-conferences, demonstrations or even escape games, 200 scientists will be present and will lead workshops, speak during mini-talks or conferences, take part in brief meetings and offer installations combining art and science and video projections. A brief overview of the possibilities, free and open to all audiences. Also discover the latest videos produced by the CNRS in the series “Who is looking for”, directed by Jacques Mitsch.

  • Dance and circus in the city

La Place de la Danse and the ARTO association, in partnership with the Sorano theater, are organizing “OUT! Public space in movement”, which will include a levitation without special effects by Camille Boitel (Cie L’Immédiat), the HMG company and its hybrid being , and Joan Català on a mast, perched high.

These dance and circus impromptu will appear where you least expect them, this Saturday, in a street, in a square, in a public garden… which are thus transformed into open-air stages. Don’t hesitate to hang out near the Royal Garden at Grand Rond, the Matabiau station square, Place Olivier and the Raymond VI Garden in Saint-Cyprien…

  • Breakdance competition

The Pink City World Battle festival, expected from October 4 to 6, aims to be “the new global meeting place for breakdancing”. For three days, the best breakdancers in the world (70 artists from four continents) gather in Toulouse. On the program, dance battles, DJ sets, discussions, shows…

It starts this Friday with music, with a “before party” from 8 p.m. at the Java Society (the former Connection), as well as initiations from 7 p.m. at the Layup graffiti exhibition, followed by a “roller dance” on roller skates. It continues on Saturday at Layup for the 2nd stage of the competition, from 3 p.m. The grand finale will take place on Sunday afternoon at the Halles de la Cartoucherie, for a major show.

The Living Room Yes! will welcome nearly 90 exhibitors specializing in the world of weddings this weekend at the Diagora center in Labège. The opportunity for future husbands and wives to find the latest trends of the season. If you are looking for dresses or suits, wedding rings, sugared almonds or champagne, this first meeting of the season provides all the keys and allows you to meet many professionals.

Caterers, couturiers, photographers, videographers, event organizers, decorators, musicians, florists, hairdressers, castle and estate managers, jewelers and props makers will be present to accompany lovers towards the most beautiful day of their lives.

  • A Sunday by the lake

This Sunday, Lake Reynerie will be the scene of a new edition of “A Sunday by the Lake”. This day promises a varied, interactive and free program for young and old. The green setting of the Château de la Reynerie park, as well as Place Abbal and the nautical base, will offer a multitude of activities, ranging from guided tours to games and virtual reality demonstrations.

Visitors will be able to participate in dance and music activities, and even help build a giant nest. Many other activities will allow you to learn more about local biodiversity, such as walks around the lake to observe plants and birds, or meetings with researchers.
