CF Montreal: a match against the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium

Pre-match CF Montreal-Revolution

CF Montreal heads to Massachusetts to face the New England Revolution tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Gillette Stadium.

With six games remaining in the regular season, Laurent Courtois’ team was boosted by a 2-1 victory at Stade Saputo last Saturday against Charlotte. With the win, CF Montreal moved into 12th place in the Eastern Conference with 30 points, three points out of a playoff spot.

With a 3-0 away loss to Orlando, New England slipped to 15th in the Eastern Conference with 27 points.

Montreal will try to avenge the 5-0 loss suffered against these same Revs on August 24. Montreal has an overall record of 13-16-3 (42 goals scored, 51 goals allowed) against New England and a record of 5-8-1 (13 goals scored, 22 goals allowed) when they face the Revolution in Massachusetts.

Goalkeeper Jonathan Sirois will be looking for his 20th MLS victory. With 19 wins, the Quebecer from the Club’s Academy is just two wins behind Troy Perkins for second place among Bleu-blanc-noir goalkeepers in MLS. Raheem Edwards only needs 34 minutes of play to reach the 10,000-minute mark in MLS.

CF Montreal will conclude an important three-game week this Saturday by facing the Chicago Fire at Stade Saputo at 7:30 p.m.
