The 25-year-old rider has signed up for three seasons with the Israeli team. He will compete in the classics.

After five seasons spent in the ranks of the Breton team Arkéa, Matis Louvel is heading towards new horizons. At 25, he has signed up for three seasons with Israel – Premier Tech. A choice he explained: “I have been in the same team for 5 years and I feel like I need a change to get out of my comfort zone. […] When IPT contacted me, I immediately liked the project. I was going through a difficult time due to an injury and the team trusted me, which really helped me mentally because it motivated me to move forward!

His profile as a classics rider convinced the management to bring him in.As for our group of cobbled classics riders, we still have a lot of room for improvement, so we are looking forward to welcoming Matîs Louvel to the team to see what he can do with us. Matîs has had good results in some of the smaller classics and we think he has a lot of potential to become one of our key riders in the spring classics,” explained the general manager of the Israeli team Kjell Carlström.
