Thanks to their success in the first leg (2-0), LOSC, beaten in the return leg by Slavia (1-2), qualified for the phase of the new version of the Champions League.

For the first time in its history, Ligue 1 will have four representatives in the new version of the Champions League. After PSG, Monaco and Brest, it is LOSC who have invited themselves to the party. Having been mistreated in Prague and beaten by Slavia (1-2), Lille have qualified thanks to their success in the first leg (2-0).

Lille cracks from the start…

From the start, the Czechs put pressure on the Northerners with a first situation for Chory (1era) and Bruno Genesio’s men quickly cracked. Following a long throw-in, Boril served back Zafeiris, entering the area, who opened the scoring with a left-footed strike beyond the reach of Lucas Chevalier (1-0, 5e). Lille had a lot of trouble getting into the game but little by little Alexsandro (12e) and Haraldsson (22e) showed up.

This had the merit of waking up the Slavia players and Chory missed the opportunity for 2-0 (23e), alone at the penalty spot. The Czechs then pushed to make the break before the break and Zafeiris, again, hit the bar with a free kick (40e). After the break, the physiognomy had not really changed and Chevalier proved decisive against Doudera (57e).

…And gets very scared at the end of the match

That’s when Lille began to exist. Zhegrova hit the bar with a free kick (63e) and that woke up the Northerners. And it was this same Zhegrova who came to deliver her team in the process. After a pass from David, the Kosovar took her chance twenty meters away and her clear left-footed shot deceived Kinsky on her left (1-1, 77e). A breath of fresh air that lasted only seven minutes. Time for Schranz to put Slavia back in front by finishing from close range after a header from Chytil was pushed back by Chevalier (2-1, 84e).

The end of the match then became suffocating for the Lille supporters as Zafeiris again hit the bar with a right-footed shot (88e) and Jurasek missed the qualifying goal with a header (90e+4). Lille is doing very well but the Dogues will play in the C1.
