“The Lakeshore Soccer Club has no tolerance whatsoever for the mistreatment of soccer officials and/or aggressive behavior by our coaching staff and players,” the sports team posted on Facebook. “Action will always be taken in the unfortunate event that such events occur. The coach has been removed from his coaching duties at our club.
The formation ensures that it has zero tolerance for any form of racial discrimination whatsoever.
Sunday afternoon, Soccer Quebec approved the decision of the Lakeshore club, in a publication on its Facebook page.
“Soccer Quebec and its regional associations strongly condemn any physical or verbal aggression towards the refereeing corps, whatever the context. We salute the rapid exit of the Lakeshore club, which relieved the coach of all his duties,” said the sports organization.
Soccer Quebec adds that under its procedure, it will receive the match reports and that the appropriate sanctions will be taken afterwards.
“Protecting the referees is the responsibility of all of us! There is no game without referees! Together we say no to physical and verbal violence against referees!”, proclaims the organization.
