A behind-the-scenes victory after the one on the field? Anderlecht is moving forward with one of its transfer window files – All football

Anderlecht insists on Cedric Hatenboer. Sporting wants to get ahead of the Dutch competition.

Until six months ago, the name of Cedric Hatenboer was still completely unknown to the general public in the Netherlands. But it didn’t take long for him to make a name for himself with Excelsior Rotterdam, having only just been promoted to the A core.

His performances in the Dutch second division aroused the interest of major clubs. That of Anderlecht was mentioned yesterday, the Eredivisie behemoths that are Feyenoord and PSV are also in the running. The 19-year-old attacking midfielder was the object of all attention this afternoon against Ado Den Haag.

“Something like that can put pressure, but deep down I always try to remember that I just have to enjoy football. Of course, sometimes I have a conversation with my agent, but otherwise I’m not “Having that kind of club interested in you is something you can only dream of,” he said after the match.

Anderlecht in pole position

To get ahead of clubs such as Feyenoord and PSV, Anderlecht will have to be convincing. The Mauves’ first offer (estimated at triple its market value) was refused, but Algemeen Dagblad affirms that management intends to come back with a new improved offer at the start of the week.

The Dutch media claims that Excelsior, currently second in the championship, would not want to let their player leave in the middle of the fight for the title, but that a solution could consist of a transfer this winter, followed by an immediate loan to Rotterdam until the end of the season. Anderlecht would in any case now act as a favorite in this matter.
