After having known Eupen, Charleroi and the Union Saint-Gilloise, the Ivorian will discover Liège.

The Saint-Gilloise Union lent its Ivorian midfielder Lazare Amani to Standard until the end of the season, with option to buy, the two clubs announced on Sunday.

Amani, 26, had joined the Union in July 2021 first in the form of a loan from Charleroi before engaging definitively with the Saint-Gillois club a year later. He arrived in Belgium in 2016 by leaving the Academy aspire in Senegal for Eupen.

The Ivorian has played 145 matches for unionists with 10 goals and 18 assists. This season, he was only entitled to 456 minutes in 12 games in all competitions and had not been registered on the list for the Europa League. Last season, he won the Belgian Cup with the Brussels residents.

Amani also has 7 caps with the Ivorian national team and was part of the selection that won the African Cup of Nations in 2024.
