French No.1 Ugo Humbert (14th in the world), eliminated Sunday in the round of 16 of the Australian Open by the German Alexander Zverev, announced on Tuesday that he was parting ways with his coach Jérémy Chardy who had been at his side since the summer 2022. At the start of their collaboration, Chardy was still active and Humbert was ranked beyond the top 100. “End of our great adventure with Jérémy. Thank you for these two magnificent seasons by your side, all these incredible emotions, these precious moments shared, as well as everything you have taught me. wrote the 26-year-old left-hander on his Instagram account. “I had a blast working alongside you. I will always be grateful to you. I wish you all the best for your new project,” adds Humbert without detailing the reasons which ended the collaboration.
