They are students in commerce and grew up in Paimpol (Côtes-d’Armor). Malo Boché and Timothée de Bouttemont, with their crew called Pempoull Raider’sprepare for humanitarian raidle 4L Trophy. Departure February 15 2025, on the port.
Orienteering Paris Dakar style
Le 4L Trophy is a Paris-Dakar style orienteering race and exclusively reserved for young people and/or students between 18 and 28 years old.
It’s the rally-raid to experience with friends aboard a good old 4L to travel 6,000 kilometers. The 2025 race takes place from February 19 to March 2.
On the program, no less than three countries crossed (France, Spain and Morocco), twelve days in immersion to discover Morocco, orientation tests to the foot of the Sahara dunes and a marathon stage 48 hours of autonomy before returning to Marrakech.
All at cruising speed, because here, there is no timer but a ranking based solely on the mileage traveled.
Human and supportive adventure
We will leave Paimpol on February 15, before joining Biarritz on February 19 for the official departure. It is above all a human and united adventure. With our 4L, we will travel the desert to bring school supplies and equipment to children in need, thanks to the Enfants du Désert association.
To finance their challenge, the two friends organized several actions, with brands in Paimpol. They rallied to their cause, around thirty of local sponsors :
-We feel like there is a lot of support around us, and that makes us want to leave even more. This shows that, even coming from a small area like Paimpol, you can embark on major projects. With a little solidarity and desire, anything is possible!
Advised by Malo’s sister
The adventure begins with their meeting one summer, two years ago, in a bar in Paimpol.
At first, it was just for fun, then the project was refined thanks to our desire to help disadvantaged children through this humanitarian raid. It’s an adventure that is close to our hearts.
The two friends are advised in their challenge by Camille, Malo’s sister who has already participated in the 4L Trophy, in 2023.
They bought his car, a 4L of course, and refurbished it to join the Trophy community.
Meet on Saturday February 15, at the port of Paimpol, to encourage Malo Boché and Timothée de Bouttemont for their departure.
