There are a handful of seconds left to play in the third quarter between Denver and Sacramento (final score 132-123). Nikola Jokic insists on playing one last ball at the buzzer. As soon as the ball arrived in his hands at his own three-point line, he propelled it away with a gesture whose nonchalance was matched only by its precision. Hop, three more points. Normal, without celebrating or almost. Is there any action more Jokic than that? “I didn’t want to do everything myself, I just played naturally, the right way,” Jokic said.

A stroke of brilliance in an ocean of genius. Jokic was once again monstrous. Against the Kings, he scored a 5th consecutive triple double in the NBA with colossal numbers: 35 points, 22 rebounds and 17 assists, making him the second player in the League to score more than 35 points, 20 rebounds and 15 assists after Wilt Chamberlain in 1968, this shows the extent of the performance.

In terms of history, this was Jokic’s 150th triple double, once again well accompanied on the Olympus of American basketball. Only Oscar Robertson (181) and his teammate Russell Westbrook (202) did better. And the question is not so much if he will ever join them but when will he do so.
