The Cooperative Society of Breeders (ASS) achieved a turnover of 18.336 million francs during its 2023-2024 financial year. A result down 1.8% compared to the previous financial year, which is mainly explained by the sharp drop in sales of plants due to the very poor harvest of 2023, particularly of potatoes, leading to insufficient availability. After depreciation and provisions amounting to 366,489 francs, the approximately 200 members gathered in Yverdon-les-Bains validated an operating profit of 7,561 francs.

Total sales of seeds and plants amounted to 10,037 t, a result 8.2% lower than that of the previous campaign. Due to humidity, the 2024 harvests often ended with historically low yields, mainly in cereals. Founded in 1909, the ASS is based in Moudon and brings together 280 producers from the cantons of Vaud, Geneva, Neuchâtel, Friborg and Valais. Following the retirement of Didier Peter, his management will be taken over by Jacques Demierre, from April
