Since Wednesday January 22, the Conterie intercommunal swimming pool in Chartres-de-Bretagne no longer welcomes anyone. It is closed until further notice andhe employees are technically unemployed. They were the ones who alerted their management to possible air and water pollution. A situation which would be linked to a faulty ventilation system: “I think it is linked to the time when the swimming pool was cleaned with a karcher. This undoubtedly caused water infiltration into the ventilation ducts”according to Abdella Errazougui, maintenance technician at the Conterie swimming pool.

The sheaths are oxidized and holed. SAccording to them, corrosion is everywhere in the premises. Inaugurated in 2008, the swimming pool is now in a very poor condition. “Even in the basement, all the pumps, which cause the circulation of water and used for activities with children, geysers, massage jets, water cannons, all that has not worked for two or three years “reports Olivier Gendron, general secretary of the SNPMNS union of the Conterie swimming pool.
