The last time we talked about Martin St-Louis’ children was in 2024, when his youngest (Mason) suffered an accident which caused the head coach of the Canadiens to return to the home, for a few matches.
But otherwise, little is known about the coach’s family. We know he has three guys playing hockey in the United States, but otherwise, we don’t really know who his three guys are.
But now, in an exclusive interview, Anthony Martineau managed to talk to the children of the CH pilot in order to learn a little more about the former Lightning star. You can read his article by clicking here.
Obviously, you won’t be surprised to learn that St. Louis’ children (Lucas and Ryan, his two oldest) had nothing but good things to say about their father.
In my eyes, it is above all the fact that the two guys, who are not obliged to speak to a Quebec media outlet, agreed to talk about their father which tells me more than the rest. This is an important subtext of the TVA Sports text.
But that doesn’t make the article any less interesting.
It is particularly relevant to learn that he has always been a good motivator when he coached his guys… and that his analogies, he doesn’t just bring them out for the fun of it: it’s in him.
I know you are beginning to know his passion for analogies. – Lucas St-Louis
His guys underlined his honesty and the importance of the feeling of family (as much for his club as for his family, he who watches all the matches of his sons’ three teams) that he establishes in his life.
And obviously, his love for CH (which comes from Martin’s father) and his desire to win are at the heart of St-Louis’ personality.

Clearly, we feel that the CH players play for their coach and that in the good and bad times, there is a team spirit that has been forming among the Canadian for several seasons.
And in light of the words of Martin St-Louis’ sons to Anthony Martineau, who released several good quotes, we understand why.
It is important to mention that aside from the Canadian’s success, comments against the coach are not publicly available to the world at this time. The resilience his sons speak of is truly showing, right now. And it is the CH which benefits from it.
St. Louis has always had a reputation for loving to win and right now it must be having fun in droves. I imagine there will be even more when Ivan Demidov comes to town…
