The Pro Taghazout Bay will be held from February 22 to March 1, 2025, at Anchor Point in Taghazout Bay, the World Surf League and Taghazout Bay announced.

This event is part of the regional qualifying series (QualifyingSeries or QS) for Africa and Europe, indicates a press release from the organizers.

The first edition in 2020 highlighted the exceptional conditions of the surf spot (Anchor Point), followed by a spectacular edition in 2023, marked by impressive performances from some of the best surfers in the world.

Perfect on its big days, Anchor Point in Taghazout rivals the best waves in the world. This long right breaks along a rocky reef, forming several hollow sections perfect for high performance surfing.

The Anchor Point wave offers impressive surfing conditions when it reaches heights of 2 to 3 meters, specifies the same source, noting that this competition which will be contested in February offers optimal conditions, combining powerful swells and favorable winds.

The flagship event of the African and European qualifying series (QS), the Pro Taghazout Bay, a 3,000-point QS, represents a key step in securing a place in the 2025 Challenger Series (CS).

The Pro Taghazout Bay QS 3000 promises a thrilling atmosphere, attracting the world’s surfing elite. Olympic gold medalist Kauli Vaast (FRA), winner in 2023, is making his comeback with the aim of qualifying for the Challenger Series.

European talents Keoni Lasa (EUK) and Afonso Antunes (POR) intend to mark their visit to Morocco.

The young French revelation TyaZebrowski (FRA) will participate in the competition for the first time, while high-level surfers Annette Gonzalez Etxabarri (EUK) and Noah Klapp (GER) are also expected at this meeting.
