Lewis Hamilton donned the red suit and took his first laps behind the wheel of a Ferrari. He drove on the Scuderia test track in Fiorano in front of delighted fans.
Despite the fog and humidity, fans were able to see the 40-year-old Briton and his yellow helmet from a bridge overlooking the track, very close to Ferrari’s headquarters in Maranello.
Hamilton surprisingly announced last February that he was leaving Mercedes for Ferrari in 2025 after twelve successful years with the German team, winning six of his seven world titles. With his new teammate, the Monegasque Charles Leclerc, they will unveil on February 19 in Maranello the car they will drive this season.
