Atle Lie McGrath was the fastest in the first round of the slalom in Wengen. The Norwegian was only approached by Henrik Kristoffersen (+0”43). Steven Amiez is the best Frenchman, 6th. Second round at 1:15 p.m.
The Norwegians have only dominated the first rounds in recent weeks and especially one of their skiers. Atle Lie McGrath continues to offer great skiing during the first acts, this is also the case in Wengen. The Vermont native is the one who took the most risks and who held his spatulas well throughout his run. A first place simply threatened by Henrik Kristoffersen. His compatriot, red bib on his shoulders, is placed 43 hundredths behind.
Love harder than Christmas this Sunday
A bunch of slalomers are then held within a few tenths. Tanguy Nef, with the 20, ranks 3rd in the first round ahead of Daniel Yule and Lucas Pinheiro Braathen, who returned to the WCSL top 15. A Frenchman can hide another. Steven Amiez was faster than Clément Noël this Sunday morning. The Courchevel skier is 6th at 93 hundredths. Less than a tenth behind the Brazilian, a hundredth ahead of Linus Strasser. Noël is at 1”10, less speed on this route and this is paid for by the clock. The Vosges is just outside the top 10.
-Paco Rassat will also be there from 1:15 p.m. 1”58 behind for the young Savoyard and a 19th place. He is six tenths behind Steven Amiez’s 6th position. Everything remains to be done.
