Friday, January 10, the wishes ceremony was held in Bringolo, in Côtes-d'Armor, led by Mayor Philippe Thomas.

The fire which ravaged the beautiful village church on April 8, 2024, marked municipal life for 2024 and will occupy the municipality for several years.

Already 40,000 euros raised for the burned church

For 2025, the church case will take up a lot of time, energy and probably a large part of the million-euro insurance compensation.

The primary objective is to ensure the clearance of the remains of the fire and the protection of the walls under a marquee.

The floor was given to Marie-Christine Hello, president of the association for the restoration of the church. She specified that the various actions already carried out had made it possible to raise €40,000, thanking all those who got involved in sporting and cultural events to help Bringolo, without forgetting neighboring municipalities and individuals. The future quantification of needs for restoration should make it possible to launch requests for donations and subsidies.

The other main issue for municipal life will be the bringing up to standards of the last business, the bar restaurant “le Bringolois” underlined the mayor.

He also gave the floor to Alain Séhan, vice-president of Leff Armor Community who presented the actions carried out by the intercommunality with and for the municipalities with the slogan of “doing together what we can no longer do alone ” . Elected officials also highlighted the savings imposed by the State for the upcoming 2025 budgets.

They amount to €400,000 for the intermunicipality and €5,000 for the municipality. However, everyone wanted this challenge to be met and invited those present to share a drink.

In the 2024 report, the mayor highlighted the celebration of a marriage and the registration of 4 births and two deaths, bringing the population to 521 inhabitants according to INSEE. He recalled the investment of €34,000 in roads and €20,000 in a lawn tractor with loader. He thanked the elected officials, the CCAS volunteers, the members of the associations leading and bringing the commune to life, the municipal employees including Damien Le Naoutout who left on leave and was replaced by Christophe Carluer.
