Three teams have reportedly made serious offers to the Colorado Avalanche to acquire forward Mikko Rantanen.
This was revealed by Sportsnet network analyst Nick Kypreos.

The “Avs”, however, would not wish to trade the one who could become a free agent at the conclusion of the current campaign. The Colorado club still hopes to agree on the terms of a contract extension with the 28-year-old hockey player.
Still according to Kypreos, the Avalanche would have offered an 8-year, $90 million contract ($11.25 million annually) to Rantanen. The player would, however, be looking for a bigger salary.
-“The two camps would not be close to an agreement. They’re over a million dollars apart, maybe even two million. Rantanen’s name is circulating, and if these contract negotiations do not move forward quickly, he will become one of the most important transfer targets this season,” Kypreos said.
Rantanen is the Avalanche’s second leading scorer behind Nathan MacKinnon. In 46 games, the Finn hit the target 25 times and provided 37 assists for 62 points.
