Canadian India Sherret won the second ski cross World Cup final in Reiteralm, Austria, on Friday.

Switzerland’s Fanny Smith finished 2nd.

Canadian Hannah Schmidt, winner the day before, finished 3rd despite a collision with her compatriot Phelan, who finished 4th. Both skiers did not cross the line and received attention from medical staff on the course.

I’m super happy with the victory, but I’m a little exhausted. With both girls falling, it’s hard not to worry about them, Sherret said after the race. I saw Brit skiing down, but obviously I’m worried about Hannah. I hope they are well. And after that, I will celebrate myself.

This is a second victory this season for the 28-year-old British Columbian. She also won in Val Thorens, , during the first competition of the season.

On the men’s side, Toronto’s Kevin Drury finished 3rd in a race dominated by Frenchman Youri Duplessis Kergomard. The Italian Simone Deromedis completed the podium.

Sherret occupies 1st place in the cumulative ranking after four World Cups with 61 priority points over her closest pursuer, the German Daniela Maier. Two other Canadians, Marielle Thomson and Schmidt, follow in 3rd and 4th places.

Florian Wilmsmann, winner on Thursday, sits at the top of the men’s rankings. Canadians Reece Howden and Kevin Drury are 5th and 6th respectively.

The world circuit will now move to Switzerland, for a stop in Veysonnaz, from January 30 to February 2.
