Norwegian striker Erling Haaland has signed a new exceptionally long contract, until 2034, with Manchester City.
The 24-year-old star had a contract which expired in 2027. Since his arrival in England in 2022, he has already won the championship twice and largely contributed to the Champions League-Championship-Cup treble in 2023.
Arriving from Dortmund, where he flourished at the highest level, Haaland has already scored 111 goals in just 125 matches for the Citizens. In his first season, he scored 36 goals in the Premier League, breaking the record for goals in one year in England.
The 1.95m giant reveled, in a sarcastic video posted on his club’s social networks, about his relationship with Premier League defenders to announce his extension.
“There have been a lot of rumors lately, and I understand that sometimes you don’t want me around but, sorry, I’m here to stay for many years to come.“, he said to the England defenders.
