The Jupiler Pro League will welcome a Danish goalkeeper

Andreas Jungdal, a 22-year-old Dane on loan with a purchase option from Cremonese, who play in the Italian Serie B, is the new goalkeeper of KVC Westerlo, the Campinois Jupiler Pro League club announced on Thursday in a press release published on its official website (https://tinyurl.com/mxaeh6km).

Jungdal was sold for free by AC Milan to Cremonese in the summer of 2023.

He then played 20 matches, including 18 in Serie B, but has not played any this season.

International hopefuls (8 caps), he is Westerlo’s second recruit after Japanese striker Isa Sakamoto (ex-Gamba Osaka).

It is worth 900,000 euros, according to Transfer market.

Fourteen years younger than Sinan Bolat

Andreas Jungdal will compete with Koen Van Langendonck (35 years old), Sinan Bolat (36 years old) and Nick Gillekens (29 years old), who have rarely reassured this season.

Westerlo are lagging behind in the Jupiler Pro League, having taken just one point (1-1 against Mechelen) in their last five outings.

The Campinois club is in 13th place in the standings, in the virtual playdowns, with 23 points in 21 matches, before traveling to Antwerp (4th, 33 points) on Sunday (7:15 p.m.).
