Six months after the end of his adventure in Charleroi, Marco Ilaimaharitra will make his big return to the Pro League! – All football

Marco Illaimaharitra is still without a club at this time. But it shouldn’t take long for him to find the right fit.

This summer, Charleroi made a new shift under the orders of Rik De Mil. The Zebras have taken leave of several core executives such as Stefan Knezevic, Damien Marcq, Ryota Morioka and Marco Ilaimaharitra.

The latter has not yet found a club since. After seven years at Mambourg, the midfielder had to maintain his form with a ninth division club in his native Alsace. At the same time, he also regained his starting place in the Malagasy national team.

Finding rhythm again and fighting to maintain it

Ilaimaharitra is now preparing to make his return to the Belgian championship. Journalist Nabil Djellit affirms that he will engage with Kortrijk, information confirmed by Sacha Tavolieri.

The former Zebra should sign with the Kerels until June, with an option for an additional season if he stays. The objective is therefore to keep the club in the first division. The team is for the penultimate hour, six points behind Cercle de Bruges, the first team outside the red zone.

Marco Ilaimaharitra therefore narrowly missed the reunion with Charleroi: the Carolos went to the Stade des Éperons d’Or for the last match of 2024. Given their renewed form, it seems unlikely to see them compete in the Playdowns again. For Kortrijk, on the other hand, it is much more uncertain.
