: promising start to the year for the Gimont club

The year is off to a good start for most ESG teams.

The elite U15scoached by Jean-Louis Degers, started the 2nd phase of their championship in the best way by winning a victory over the Nets (North East ) 70 to 43. This phase will see the 24 best U15 teams in confront each other. If this victory reassures them, the quality of the teams on the rails suggests a high-level competition and nothing will be easy. However, a great way to start this first confrontation.

The U18s won at 98 to 44. A successful match which highlights the work, seriousness and involvement during training. In-depth work led by their coach Julien Noja. This victory honored their new jersey financed by parents. They remain undefeated since the start of the season.

The same goes for the team of seniors III playing in D2 which also remains undefeated after its victory this weekend at home 71 to 34 against Castillon-Debats.

Other results. The other teams involved bowed to their opponents without however deserving in their commitments and their progress: defeat of the 2 U11 teams against Mauvezin and L’Isle-Jourdain, of the U18 Pyr by one point against Montech (the constant progress of this team portend victories to come). The seniors II, in pre-national, suffered a defeat 47 to 73 against Montech; a complicated period for this team which still has to work to build its collective.

The senior I team playing in the women’s national 2 won a victory against Avenir Chalosse 84 to 63.
