We of course drew conclusions by seeing thatAndreas Skov Olsen was not present in the Bruges selection for Sunday’s topper. Hasty, assured Nicky Hayen: the Dane was ill, with a high fever and digestive problems.
Is it still this health concern that is disrupting Skov Olsen’s week? Still, for the semi-final first leg this Wednesday against Genk, we will not see him in action any more than on Sunday. Andreas Skov Olsen is once again absent, not taken back by Hayen.
FC Brugge claims that its Danish international has not yet recovered from his illness, of course. But the Newspaper has other information: the player’s entourage assures that Andreas Skov Olsen was not planning to play anyway.
Indeed, the winger is currently in advanced negotiations – and in fact already has an agreement with Wolfsburg, according to the Dutch-speaking media. Recently, Skov Olsen’s agent regretted the inflexible attitude of Club Brugge towards his foal (read here).
It could well be that Andreas Skov Olsen’s last minutes in the colors of Blue & Black were therefore contested on January 7, in the quarter-final of the Croky Cup. For the occasion, he delivered an assist, his 6th of the season in all competitions (for 8 goals).
