Since the entry into force of the first FIFA regulations on the subject in the 1990s, the role of agent has evolved. At the time, the provisions provided for the obligation for individuals and entities to use the services of highly qualified professionals capable of representing them adequately, in particular by preserving their interests. For footballers, this requirement was essential in the transfer market.
The FIFA executive program on agent activities is structured around an individualized learning strategy, which is based on solid theoretical foundations, findings from various research studies and practical sessions presented by renowned specialists.
The program is not intended to prepare candidates for the agent exam, which is now mandatory under the new regulations. Indeed, it is intended to provide the best possible training to professionals in the sector on aspects related to the agent profession. Focused on professionalization and the adoption of ethical practices in football in the four corners of the planet, this initiative will help improve the functioning of the international transfer system. Furthermore, the program is in line with FIFA’s commitment to convince football stakeholders, including agents, to educate themselves to ensure that football continues to unite people. Organized from April to June 2025, the second edition of the program includes three modules, which will be held in Miami, Zurich and Paris.
