The leaders of Limoges CSP have decided to lay off Jean-Marc Dupraz, but there is still much to do to ensure better results. The urgency is threefold: prepare for the match against Cholet, smoothly settle the end of the contract of the dismissed coach and put in place new management until the end of the season.

History repeats itself for Jean-Marc Dupraz, thanked for the second time by the Limoges CSP. Member of the European champion team in 1993, French champion in 2014 as coach, thanked by Frédéric Forte in 2015, providential coach after the hasty departure of Ilias Kantsouris last year, Jean-Marc Dupraz is in the process of experiencing a new painful episode with the club that marked his career. However, the leaders of Limoges CSP carefully choose the terms used regarding his dismissal as a precautionary measure.

The club thus underlines that “Jean-Marc has always held high the values of Limoges CSP, which he managed to maintain the team sportingly during the 2023-2024 season, and presents a record of five victories for ten defeats in this first phase.“
This formulation testifies to the consideration given today to Jean-Marc Dupraz, unlike his brutal sidelining decided by Frédéric Forte in April 2015, just seven days before the end of a championship finally concluded by a second consecutive French champion title, with another coach, Philippe Hervé.
The break-up was also concluded by a confidential amicable agreement before the Industrial Tribunal, with compensation much lower than the 340,000 euros claimed by the dismissed coach.
Today, the club announces “that youA meeting is scheduled soon with Jean-Marc Dupraz in order to consider a possible cessation of their collaboration. and while waiting “his contract is thus not terminated to this day”.
The club intends to part ways with its coach, but not to open a new industrial tribunal procedure that is as uncertain as it is costly. He favors amicable negotiation.
As long as Jean-Marc Dupraz’s contract is not legally terminated, his assistants will provide interim work, as the club specifies: “Pending the final decision to be taken, an internal solution is preferred to date, the club will communicate this organization soon. Mikko Larkas and Romain Leroy will ensure the preparation of the match against Cholet”.
Romain Leroy already experienced this situation last season, acting as interim between Kantsouris and Dupraz during the CSP’s trip to Roanne.
