Thunderbolt at C’Chartres Football. A few hours after warning the players, the Eurelian club announced this Monday, January 13, in a laconic press release, to put an end to its collaboration with its coach Laurent Fournier.
“C’Chartres Football SAS has made the decision to part ways with Laurent Fournier, coach of the N3 team, to whom we extend our most sincere thanks for his commitment and the work accomplished within the club,” writes the CCF .
This surprise sidelining of the coach comes two days after a 2-1 setback at Vierzon on the 12th day, the second defeat of the season for a CCF author of a remarkable first part of the championship and still leader.
The 60-year-old technician, former player and coach of Paris SG in particular, arrived on the banks of the Eure in the summer of 2023 and immediately brought Chartres up from Regional 1 to National 3.
The CCF has not revealed who will take over. Will it be his deputy Arnaud Margueritte? To be continued. In the meantime, according to our information, sports director Clément Chantôme has been given the task of supporting Arnaud Margueritte and physical trainer Joao Ferreira during the week’s sessions.
It remains to be seen, after this little cataclysm, who will sit on the CCF sidelines, this Saturday, January 18, during the reception in Cosne-sur-Loire.
