One of the two giants canceled at Mont Tremblant will take place in the Italian resort just after the World Championships. The schedule promises to be busy for the Women’s World Cup.

We now see a little more clearly in the women’s calendar for the Alpine Ski World Cup. Looking for a fallback site for the two giants canceled due to lack of snow at Mont Tremblant in December, the FIS found a first solution. Sestriere will host the event on Friday February 21, following the World Championships.

The program in the Italian station is now as follows: giant on Friday (10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m.), giant on Saturday (11 a.m., 2 p.m.) and slalom on Sunday (9:30 a.m., 12:15 p.m.).

The Alpine Skiing World Cup regularly stops at the site which hosted the Olympic Games in 2006. During her last visit in 2022, Wendy Holdener won in slalom. In giant, Lara Gut-Behrami finished 7th in an event won at home by Marta Bassino.
