The noose tightens as the international women’s tournament progresses. If the day of Wednesday (January 8) was full of emotions with highly contested matches, the 1/8 finals are announced by observers as tight, intense and undoubtedly with surprises this Thursday, January 9, 2025.

A lively Thursday in perspective on the courts of the Germain Soumbo League Center in Lamentin with the matches counting for 1/8e final of the Martinique Women’s Tournament. Remember that the final draw consisted of 32 players from around fifteen countries in Europe, North America, the greater Caribbean and even Africa.

On the W35 du Lamentin, eight matches have been scheduled this Thursday since 10 a.m.

At the start of the program, the tournament’s number 1 seed, the American Hina Inoue, will face the German Nicole Rivkin, a match scheduled on court number 2.

Also note the oppositions between Salma Ewing (USA) and the Canadian Cadence Brace, seeded n°5. The last match of 1/8e of the final will see on Court No. 1 at the end of the afternoon (not before 5:30 p.m.) a highly anticipated match between the American Emily de Oliveira and the No. 3 seed of the tournament, the Frenchwoman Harmony Tan.

Eight matches that tennis technicians announce are balanced with an objective for these 16 players : reach the semi-final stage. For each of the players still in the running, the state of mind seems shared (even if the title in Martinique is in their sights), taking the matches one after the other and who knows…

Note that the doubles table also offers several matches this Thursday from 3:30 p.m.
