Le Standard on the trail of a former German football hopeful

The Standard takes seriously the strengthening of its workforce. Les Rouches are expected to complete several incoming transfers in the coming days and weeks. A new day, therefore a new name.

According to La Derniere Heure, Standard would consider the arrival of William Ndenge, but only if Isaac Price leaves the club. Indeed, the club must first sell before being able to buy players. Price attracts interest from clubs in the English second division.

Ndenge plays in Switzerland with Grasshopper Zurich, where he is an indisputable starter as a defensive midfielder. Ivan Leko would like to include this type of player in his squad. However, Standard will have to negotiate firmly to conclude this operation.

1,5 million

The 27-year-old has an estimated market value of €1.5 million, but the advantage for Standard is that he is only under contract until next summer. This therefore opens up interesting prospects for the people of Liège. Will an offer follow soon?

Ndenge is a former Germany youth international, but is also eligible to play for Cameroon. The midfielder hasn’t experienced many clubs so far. He has played for Borussia Mönchengladbach, Roda JC, FC Lucerne and, since 2022, Grasshoppers Zurich. Will Standard be added to this list soon?
