Khalid Fakerni, secretary general of Raja Casablanca and Hicham Louzani, president of the medical commission, presented their resignations yesterday, according to Hesport.
This unexpected gesture further complicates the internal situation of the club, pending an official decision from the steering committee chaired by Adil Hala.
According to the same sources, several influential members of the steering committee are considering similar actions, expressing their dissatisfaction with the inaction of the club administration. They are calling for important decisions, including the dissolution of the current committee and the announcement of a date for an extraordinary general meeting to develop a clear roadmap for the future.
A significant part of the members strongly opposes the policy of indifference adopted by President Adil Hala in the face of growing criticism. This situation has become even more tense since the “Green Boys” and “Eagles” supporter groups joined the protest movement.
Some, however, are pleading for temporary management of the crisis, while awaiting the outcome regarding Raja’s qualification for the next phase of the CAF Champions League. The club is preparing for a decisive match next Saturday against group leader AS FAR in the penultimate matchday.
Currently, Raja is third in its group with 4 points, behind AS FAR (8 points) and South Africans Mamelodi Sundowns (5 points), while Maniema occupies last place with 3 points. The club will have to win its next two matches to hope for qualification.
