Brice Samba will indeed join Stade Rennais. As clarified by Jeunesfooteux at the time of the pseudo Lensoise air conditioning, it was only a simple setback for the French international goalkeeper to join Rennes.
Indeed, following the signing of Pau Lopez at RC Lens, Brice Samba underwent his medical examination with the SRFC. The formalization could take place this Wednesday, while Samba could already be in the Rennes cages for the reception of Olympique de Marseille.
While the transfer market has opened its doors for 5 days, things are starting to get seriously agitated at Stade Rennais. And this is just the beginning!
In the departures department, several players have already been requested. This is particularly the case of Amine Gouiri. According to Footmercato, Galatasaray made inquiries for the 24-year-old Algerian international striker. In vain, since the Turkish club was kindly dismissed.
Although keen on Gouiri, Jorge Sampaoli wants to keep his striker, convinced that he will do much better during the second part of the season, thanks in particular to a more impactful midfield which will put him in better conditions.
Beyond Sampaoli's stop, Stade Rennais was not open to a loan anyway. However, Galatasaray was clearly not considering a direct transfer.
If Amine Gouiri should indeed stay in Rennes, another attacker is on the other hand pushed towards the exit. Indeed, Sampaoli wishes to part ways with Henrik Meister who does not fit into his plans at all. The young Danish striker could be loaned to Pisa who play in Serie B.
