A buzzer beater from his own half. This is what Hawks star leader Trae Young achieved to give Atlanta victory in Salt Lake City (124-121).
At 2”9 from the final siren, the Utah Jazz fans were still roaring as Collin Sexton had just equalized at 121-121 with a winning shot. Three seconds later, they must have hallucinated seeing Trae Young make one of the shots of the NBA season.

“Ice Trae” did not hesitate to attempt an improbable shot at midcourt which ended up in the opposing basket and thus allowed Atlanta to sign its 19th victory of the year (18 defeats). The three-time all-star point guard had only succeeded in 2 of his 9 previous attempts from behind the arc (24 points in total).
Clint Capela, for his part, demonstrated great shooting success (9/11, 18 points). The Geneva pivot of the Hawks also grabbed 6 rebounds, all in just over 25′ spent on the floor.
