The first departure from Standard is taking shape…with a last minute change as to the nature of the operation – The latest transfers

Hakim Sahabo is going to head to Beerschot. The Antwerp have reached an agreement with Standard.

For several days, the Standard and Beerschot negotiate for Hakim Sahabo. The 19-year-old midfielder took advantage of a few defections to establish himself in Ivan Leko’s eleven in the second half of last season but no longer fits into the coach’s plans.

This season, Sahabo has not played a single minute with the first team despite the opportunities given to local youngsters following circumstances.

Sahabo will remain linked to Standard

After having to treat a knee injury at the start of the year, he mainly played with the SL 16 in D1 ACFF. The loan to Beerschot must be able to allow him to play again in D1A. But the exercise will not be easy given the situation of the Rats, last in the championship.

The leaders of the two clubs were still discussing to include a potential purchase option. According to SudInfo, Sahabo’s departure to Kiel is well documented, but ultimately without a purchase option.

The Rwandan international will therefore return to Sclessin, whatever happens at the end of the season. He will then enter his last year of contract. Will he stand out to convince a club to transfer him this summer?
